age limit
If you are planning to apply for the posts of Sub-Inspector (SI) through SSC CGL exam, then let us tell you, only graduate candidates in the age group of 20 to 30 years can apply for this post. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1991 and not later than 1st January 2001. Let us tell you, through SSC CGL recruitment exam, one can apply for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in CBI. There is a relaxation of 3 years for OBC category and 5 years for SC/ST category.
Physical Standard for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in CBI
For the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in CBI, one has to fulfill the physical fitness requirements to get the final selection.
Height
For men – 165 cms
For women – 150 cms
Height relaxation for hilly and tribal: 5 cms
chest size
Male should have chest of 76 cms (no such requirement will be there in case of female candidates)
vision
Eye-sight (with or without glasses)
Far vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other eye
Myopia is 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in the other eye.
sub-inspector salary
The candidate selected on the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) will be given a salary of Rs 44900 to 142400 per month and 4600 grade pay per month. Allowances by the Central Government According to the 7th Pay Commission, the Sub-Inspector in CBI will initially get a salary of around Rs 50,000 (this may vary slightly according to the place of posting).
