He wanted to become an IPS officer from the very beginning and he has fulfilled his dream by clearing the country’s most difficult exam UPSC. Let us know how he passed the UPSC exam in 17 days.

Every year, lakhs of students try for UPSC and give up when they fail in the exam. On the other hand, there is Akshat Kaushal, who after facing continuous defeat in UPSC exam, has successfully cracked this exam.

This is the story of Akshat Kaushal

In the year 2017, Akshat became an IPS officer by securing 55th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. IPS Akshat Kaushal has achieved this position after his 5th attempt. Failed 4 times before this. After which he decided that he would not give the UPSC exam now, but luck had something else in store for him. He filled the UPSC form for the fifth attempt, but could not muster the courage to appear for the exam.

When he met some of his friends just 17 days before the commencement of the UPSC exam, during that conversation he was inspired enough to give the UPSC exam one more time. After which he decided to give UPSC exam. He gave his 5th attempt only after 17 days of preparation and got success with 55th rank in the exam.

Changed mind from the experiences of journalism

Akshat did his 12th standard from APJ School, Sector-15. After this, he completed his engineering studies in Electronics and Communication from CITM. PG Diploma in English Journalism from IIMC. Worked as Special Correspondent in Business Standard from 2010 to 2016. During this, many major news related to the problems of the people were done. Akshat told that he learned from these experiences that for change one has to be a part of the administration.

IPS Akshat Kaushal has also shared many tips for other youths on how to crack UPSC Civil Services Exam.

Akshat says that the candidates must understand the exam pattern and syllabus properly before starting the preparation for the exam. Apart from this, he says that candidates should not be overconfident about anything, it can lead them towards failure in the examination.
