Saloni Verma hails from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, however, she mainly studied in Delhi. After completing his graduation, he started studying for the UPSC exam. He did not take any coaching class for UPSC preparation. He passed this exam only with the help of self study.

Is it necessary to take coaching for UPSC?
Saloni advised that while preparing for this exam, candidates should be aware of their potential. He believes that it is not mandatory to study in coaching to clear UPSC exam. However, he believes that if one does not know when and where to start the preparation, then those candidates can join coaching for guidance.
Despite being unsuccessful in her first attempt, she did not give up and kept working towards her goal. He believes that one should make an effort to study every day without fail.
IAS Saloni strongly believes that perseverance, good planning, revision, practice of answer writing and a positive attitude are the keys to success. He started his UPSC preparation in his third year of college.
They thought she would clear the exam by 2019 when she was about to complete her graduation. He once shared in an interview, “Prepare prelims and mains together and focus more on mains as its syllabus is bigger than prelims.”
