Indian Knowledge System Textbook: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will launch the Indian Knowledge System Text Book today i.e. on 16 May 2022. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has given this information while telling about its model syllabus. AICTE also informed that the institute has nominated two to three faculty members as well as 20 to 30 students from their colleges to participate in the launch program of the text book.

However, there was no authentic text book available on IKS. In February 2020, a project proposal on “Curriculum Development and Textbook Preparation for a Course on Indian Knowledge System” was received from IIM Bangalore through the Ministry of Education.

AICTE said, It gives great pleasure that IKS Division, in association with AICTE, organized the launch of this textbook on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima i.e. 16th May 2022 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at AICTE Auditorium. doing. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has agreed to launch this textbook on the Indian knowledge system in the presence of several senior dignitaries including the author and co-authors.

PURPOSE OF THE BOOK INDIAN KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM

AICTE said that this book will be used as the primary reference material for teaching Universal Human Values ​​and Indian Knowledge System courses introduced by AICTE in its model curriculum. This text book has been designed in such a way that the students can easily get to know about the Indian knowledge system. Let me tell you, there was no book on IKS. The IKS Division of the Ministry of Education has been set up to promote all aspects of updates related to the Indian knowledge system and to disseminate further innovations and social applications.
