IIIT BTech: There is good news for the students who have taken admission in BTech in TripleIT this year. Now students will be able to study psychology and law along with technical education. Under the National Education Policy (NEP), from this year the institute will offer major and minor degrees. Along with this, the students taking admission this year will also be able to pursue B.Tech Honors degree. The institute has two branches of B.Tech, IT and EC, which have been kept as major subjects. Along with this, Indian Knowledge System, Entrepreneurship Development, Psychology and Legal Knowledge have been included as minor subjects.
The four year course of B.Tech will be of 160 credits. In this, 15 credits will be of minor. Major degree will be awarded on 145 credits. If you get 15 more credits, then you will get the degree of minor along with major. Students securing an additional 15 credits out of 160 within four years will be eligible for the B.Tech Honors degree. The first senate approved to implement NEP in all B.Tech courses.
Today is the last chance to apply for direct admission in BTech, BPharma and MCA
The proposal approved by the Senate was placed in the Board of Governors i.e. BOG, the highest body of the institute. Director Prof. Mukul Sutawane told that the BOG has also given the seal of consent. There will also be an option of multiple exit and multiple entry for the students. For example, if a student studies B.Tech for one year, he will be given a certificate.
