Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) under AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) Scheme 2022-23 in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computational Biology (CB) programs PHD Applications are invited from the prospective and eligible candidates for admission in the programme. To be eligible for PhD application, the candidate must have qualified GATE/NET during the last 5 years. Candidates willing to do PhD can apply for this as soon as possible.
This scheme was started by AICTE to promote research culture in AICTE affiliated institutions. Also, through the scheme, research can be done by bringing institutes and industries together and talent can be prepared for technical research. Under this scheme, a fellowship of Rs 31 thousand per month will be given in the first two years. After this, the scholar will get a fellowship of 35 thousand rupees per month for the next three years. HRA will also be given to the scholar as per the norms of the government. This will be under HRA available at the place of research.
Must meet eligibility criteria
The scholars will also be given contingency grants of Rs 15,000 annually to meet other expenses. Financial assistance will also be provided by IIIT-Delhi for purchase of laptops, top-up, Overseas Research Fellowship (ORF), travel for research etc. Apart from GATE/NET, candidates should also have the required marks under Educational Qualification. General and OBC candidates should have 69.5 percent or more in undergraduate and postgraduate, while for SC, ST and physically handicapped candidates it should be 64.4 percent or more.
What is included in the research area?
The age of the candidate should be less than 30 years for admission in PhD. However, age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC, ST, women and differently-abled candidates. The last date to submit the application is 18th September. The research area includes areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Machine Learning and Data Science, Quantum Computing, Cyber Security, Smart Cities, Housing and Transportation, Blockchain, Energy Efficiency, Renewable and Sustainable Energy, Virtual Reality.
