In Madrasas of Uttar Pradesh, the issue of weekly holiday on Sunday instead of Friday is gaining momentum. The era of rhetoric has started. The Yogi government of the state is being targeted. On this dispute, Muslim religious leaders have started targeting the Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Board. This is the reason that Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Board Chairman Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed issued a statement and clarified the whole matter.
On December 20, a meeting was called by the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Teachers Council to amend the Official Arabic-Persian Madrasa Recognition Administration and Service Rules, 2016. This meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Madrasa Board, a meeting of the stakeholders associated with the Madrasas. This meeting was not of the Madarsa Board. In this meeting, the principal of a madrasa suggested a weekly holiday on Sunday because of Friday. There was opposition to this suggestion in the meeting itself. This thing came out from the meeting of few people and the political politics has also heated up. Rhetoric and controversy are increasing in Madrasas of Uttar Pradesh on the suggestion of weekly holiday on Sunday because of Friday.
Cleanliness of the Chairman of the Madarsa Board
Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Board, issued a statement on this dispute and clarified the whole matter. Dr. Ahmad Javed clarified that the meeting held two days ago was a meeting of the stakeholders associated with the madrassas and not a meeting of the Madrassa Board. Only suggestions came in the meeting, no proposal came. The decision was not to be made and has not been made. Whenever the decision will be taken in the board meeting.
Will decide on leave after consideration
Along with this, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed said that a total of 20 proposals and suggestions have been received in this meeting. A decision will be taken only after due consideration on it. He said, the meeting that took place was neither a meeting of the Madrasa Board nor was any meeting called to get a proposal, a meeting was called regarding the amendment of a general Madrasa manual. All kinds of suggestions have been received in that meeting. We only had to take suggestions, neither take proposals nor pass proposals, neither any decision was to be taken nor any decision was taken in that meeting. He once again stressed that only suggestions were received in the meeting.
On this issue of Sunday holiday in madrassas instead of Friday, Chairman Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Javed said that the principal of a madrassa had suggested that madrassas should also have holiday on Sunday instead of Friday. There, but some people protested, so it was a kind of suggestion. This is not an offer. No decision has been taken on this, neither has there been any discussion. When the next board meeting will be held, the 20 suggestions we have received on this issue. We will discuss on that. Then we will decide what we have to do, in what form we have to give leave in madrasas.
