Yogi Adityanath’s government in Uttar Pradesh said it would arrange for vocational training in schools as part of its ongoing effort to make girls self-reliant. In a press release on Saturday, the government said that the Skill Development Mission has been entrusted with this task. The press release states that a room within the hostel should be converted into a training room, if no room already exists. The implementation of the program should be monitored by designating a full-time instructor as the nodal. Along with this, by establishing coordination with the training partner institutions, without unnecessary interference in their work, full cooperation has to be given to them. It has been told that first counseling of girls will be done for selection in vocational training. During counseling they will be informed about the trade of their choice. After giving this information, the training of girls will be done according to that trade. It is believed that through this training, not only will the girls get help in their career, but their future will also be strengthened. The government has said that the institutions will have to ensure 100 percent participation.
