IAS Smita cracked UPSC CSE in the year 2000, she secured 4th rank at that time. He cleared the UPSC exam in the second attempt. In her first attempt, she could not qualify the prelims stage.
Let me tell you, IAS Smita is originally from Darjeeling and studied from Hyderabad. She calls herself an ‘Army Brat’ as her father is a retired army officer Colonel PK Das. He did his schooling from class 9th at St. Ann’s, Marredpally, Hyderabad. He secured the first rank in class 12th. After which she took a B.Com degree from St. Francis Degree College for Women.
Tips for UPSC preparation given
During her preparation, Smita studied for six hours a day and used to take out one hour for herself to reduce the pressure of studies. This trick worked well for him. He believes that if you study without pressure then preparation is good.
