It is to be noted here that the institute had also consulted the students before taking the decision to appear in the examination after paying the fine. To appear in the examination in the college, it is mandatory for the students to have 75% attendance. In such a situation, if a student does not have 75% attendance, then he will have to pay a fine.

What are the rules regarding college attendants?

According to the rules of the Indian Institute of Hotel Management, students have been fined Rs 1000 for every percent. If you understand it in simple language, then it is something like, your attendance is 50 percent. But you want to take part in the exam. In such a situation, you should have more than 25% attendance to take part in the exam. According to the rules of the college, now you will have to pay a fine of Rs 1000 for every percent, i.e. Rs 25000 for 25 percent attendance.

The thing to note here is that only those students will get the benefit of this rule, whose attendance is between 45 to 75 percent. Students who have less than 45% attendance. They will not be allowed to take part in the exam. According to the college administration, half of the second and third year students of B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration courses fall under this attendance category.
