In a webinar, Professor K Ratnabali, Dean of Academic Equities, DU, told about Academic Credit Bank. He said that 'Academic Credit Bank is like a virtual storehouse where the credit points earned by a student during a course are stored as a record.'

He told that 'this bank will help in transferring credit from one place to another. You can redeem the credits you got while studying in one university as a coupon in another institution and get a diploma or degree or certificate.

'After registering on this credit bank portal, it will work exactly like any other bank does. Whenever you pass any one course, its 4 credits will be added to your account. Further, when you go to do a course where there is an option of credit mobility, you can redeem these credits already deposited in the bank. This will give you some prescribed relaxation in course duration, etc.'
