Basic Education: 6000 additional rooms will be made in primary schools

6000 thousand additional rooms will be made in the primary schools of the state. The state government has approved this scheme. The Education Department has also started an initiative regarding this. After the construction of these additional rooms in the primary schools, the children will be greatly facilitated. At present, due to lack of room, children are facing a lot of difficulty in studying. Therefore, the department has approved the construction of additional rooms. The construction of these additional rooms is to be completed this year itself. Approval was given to construct 2,86,773 additional rooms in primary schools in the financial year 2022-23. Out of these, construction of 2,80,316 rooms has been completed. After this, the construction of 6457 rooms is left. The department wants to get these rooms constructed immediately.

That is why directions have been given to various districts regarding their construction. Districts have been asked to construct rooms in these primary schools on priority basis. In fact, at present the primary schools of the state are facing shortage of rooms. The situation is such that children of several classes sit and study in each room. Not only this, due to the lack of class rooms, the department keeps getting complaints that many classes are held outside in the open sky. More importantly, the number of children in primary schools is also increasing continuously.
