Admission will be available on vacant seats in IITs and NITs, JoSAA special round from October 24

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the Round 2 of Mock Seat Allotment 2022 today. Candidates can check their seat allotment on the official website of JoSAA, josaa.nic.in. At the same time, online JoSAA registration will be closed on September 21. This year the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (National Institute of Technology, Rourkela) is responsible for getting the online registration for the Centralized Seat Allocation Process for the academic year 2022-23.NIT Rourkela) so that admission will be given in NITs, IIESTs, IIITs, SPAs and GFTIs.

All these institutes have been named as NIT+ System. Professor Mukesh Gupta (Local Organizing Committee, CSAB-2022, Chairman) said, “It is very important for the candidates to understand the seat allocation process, as even slightest discrepancy can lead to the loss of the top NIRF rank government technical institute seat. If someone gets a seat in the college of his dreams and then goes to bat with ease. He does not conduct online fee payment or online document verification. Because of this he may have to lose his seat.

The professor further said, 'Tomorrow is the last date for online registration. Our team at CSAB-2022 Headquarters (located at NIT Rourkela) is trying its best to give instructions and advice to the candidates who are not aware about it.

JoSAA counseling 2022: Important dates

  • 21 September 2022: The registration process for JoSAA ends.
  • 23 September 2022: Declaration of result of first round.
  • 23 September-16 October 2022: Six rounds of JoSAA will be conducted
  • 24 October 2022: Vacant seats after JoSAA round
  • 24 October 2022: Registration for vacant seats under CSAB-Special Rounds
  • October 29 – November 6, 2022: Two special rounds of CSAB organized
  • 7 November 2022: First year class begins
