Due to the negligence of the officers of the Basic Education Department, there is uncertainty about the recruitment of 69000 assistant teachers in the council primary schools. The controversy arose due to the implementation of the cutoff a day after the first examination, on which the order is yet to come after hearing in the Supreme Court. Now there is a doubt about merit in the list of 31277. The written test for 69000 recruitment was held on 6 January 2019. One day after the examination, on 7 January, in the order issued by the then Special Secretary Govt. Chandrashekhar, the pass percentage was 60/65 percent (in the 150 marks exam, 97 for general class and 90 marks for reserved category). . While the mandate did not mention cutoff marks.
Against this, the candidates filed a petition in the High Court on 11 January 2019, about which there has been controversy. Similarly, due to the lapse of officers, the list of 31277 candidates was included in the list of candidates with less merit and those with more merit were removed. Even if the government is saying that the list of 31277 is not final and can be amended. But it is also a reality that the candidates of high merit who are out in the new list are not going to sit with their hands on. Not only this, after the amendment of 31277, the candidates whose merit will be rejected will sit at home so easily, even this is not possible.
UP teacher recruitment: school allocation order issued to 31,277 teachers, counseling will be held from October 26 to 28
What was the hurry?
Questions are being raised about the haste in distribution of appointment letters. The Supreme Court had reserved its decision about three months after the hearing in the cutoff case. In such a situation, if the authorities had requested to put an application in the Supreme Court instead of releasing a new list, then the dispute would not have arisen.
List released without modification
Authorities have made many mistakes one by one. From the Supreme Court to the High Court, several orders have been given for amending the error in teacher recruitment applications. But instead of making amends, the officers of the Basic Education Department arbitrarily released the disputed list on October 12. The affected candidates are agitated about this too.
