CG News : Big decision of CM, now government will buy paddy on support price till February 7

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has taken a big decision for the convenience of the farmers in the state. CM has extended the date of procurement of paddy by one week. The government will now continue to purchase paddy at the minimum support price till February 7. Earlier, the last date for government procurement was fixed till 31 January. Paddy procurement was affected due to rains in January. Due to which the Chief Minister has announced to extend the date of purchase of paddy by one week, so that all the registered farmers can sell their paddy. At the same time, 82 lakh 62 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been procured so far in the paddy procurement being done on support price in the state, which is about 78.69 percent of the target of paddy procurement. So far 43 lakh 79 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted from procurement centers through DOs and TOs. According to the Food Department, 38 lakh 74 thousand metric tonnes of DO of paddy has been issued for the lifting of paddy. About 33 lakh 21 thousand metric paddy has been lifted by the millers from the centres. To date, for the transportation of 16 lakh 39 thousand metric tonnes of paddy, T.O. has been issued.
