Ushar .. 36,000 crore rupees abyss in a single coin !!

Over the last few years, many individuals have been embezzling crores of rupees in cryptocurrency under the Ponzi scheme. In India alone, crypto frauds worth up to Rs 700 crore have taken place in the last one year. Notorious crypto companies have not escaped crypto scams.

In particular, the world’s second largest crypto hack took place earlier this year. Following this, the news that an individual in the name of a coin has swindled up to Rs 36,000 crore through the Ponzi scheme has come as a shock to many.

In 2017, Ruja Ignatova, the founder of One Coin, reportedly embezzled $ 5 billion (approximately Rs. 38,630 crore) from investors.

He is currently on the Most Wanted list of wanted criminals in Europe. The BBC reports that the One Coin scam is one of the biggest scams in crypto history. He has also been dubbed the “killer of bitcoin”.

Following its launch, Ignatova is said to have raised money through One Coin from investors in 175 different countries before fleeing to Athens, Greece in 2017.

The European Court of Justice has announced a reward of up to Rs 4 lakh for anyone who finds him.
