To provide the facility of air travel to the common man, a scheme named Udaan has been started. Now the government has launched its next phase i.e. UDAN 5.1. With the help of this, remote areas will also be connected under this scheme and they will get a chance to travel by helicopter.

It is hoped that the use of helicopters will be encouraged with the introduction of this scheme of the government. A large number of passengers are also expected to come. In such a situation, there can be an increase in the existing number of helicopters in India. Currently there are about 280 civilian helicopters in India, which are used in many areas. So far 46 helicopter routes have been operationalized under the previous round of the scheme, covering several hilly and northeastern states.
