21-year-old Riti Kumari turned down offers from 13 companies, including TCS, Infosys and Wipro, to do just one internship. Out of this, one company had offered an annual salary of Rs 17 lakh. Riti sidelined all these job offers and completed her internship with Walmart.
Now earning 20 lakh rupees annually
It has been more than a year since Kumari rejected the job and now Kumari earns more than Rs 20 lakh per year. According to a Moneycontrol report, the Bangalore-based software engineer told that all the job offers were very good, out of which his family liked one more, but listening to his mind, he decided to do an internship at Walmart. The internship was of six months and during this he got 85 thousand rupees.
He said that at that time it was difficult for the tech sector and the decision of internship was quite risky amidst layoffs. He said that his sister advised him to listen to his heart. The software engineer said she was happy to have been offered the Walmart internship.
Job after internship with good package
Riti Kumari further said, "At that time also not everyone was in his favor, but he took a decision and proved everyone wrong. So, I followed my heart, took the internship offer at Walmart, worked really hard, gave the pre-placement offer interview and finally got a job. Riti Kumari is currently working in Walmart and her salary is 20 lakh rupees annually.
Riti Kumari said that her parents are very happy with her success. He is proud to be one of the top rankers in the history of my school and college. His father is very proud of him.
