Stock Market Opening: Market sluggish after Diwali, Sensex falls 100 points to above 65150, Nifty below 19500

Stock Market Opening: Indian stock market looks dull today, the next day of Diwali. The domestic stock market has started with a decline and Nifty has slipped below 19500. Yesterday evening, during Diwali Muhurat trading, investors had bought heavily and the market closed with a good bounce. Today buying is being seen in pharma shares and due to this the market is getting some support.

How was the market opening

Today the markets opened with a decline in the trading session of Vikram Samvat 2080. BSE Sensex opened at the level of 65,158.31 with a rise of 101.14 points or 0.15 percent. Whereas NSE’s Nifty has opened at 19,486.75 with a rise of 38.80 points or 0.20 percent.

Fall in Bank Nifty also

Fall in Bank Nifty also today. A decline is being seen and most of the bank stocks of Nifty are trading in the red mark of decline. Bank Nifty has fallen by 181 points at the level of 43,815 and is showing a weakness of 0.40 percent.

Out of 50 Nifty Only 11 shares are seeing a rise and its 39 shares are trading with a decline. Among its top gainers, Eicher Motors is trading up by 2.17 percent, Coal India by 1.51 percent, NTPC by 1.21 percent and Hindalco by 0.91 percent. A strength of 0.42 percent is being seen in BPCL.

Condition of Sensex shares

Today, out of 30 Sensex shares, only 5 are such which are trading in green bullish sign. are doing, the remaining 25 stocks are seeing a decline. Top gainers of Sensex include NTPC up 1.53 percent, Power Grid up 0.59 percent, IndusInd Bank up 0.49 percent, Sun Pharma up 0.17 percent and HCL Tech up 0.01 percent. 

Top Losers of Sensex

Top losers of Sensex are Bajaj Finance 1.14 percent, Asian Paints 0.78 percent, HUL 0.68 percent, Infosys 0.71 percent, ICICI Bank 0.66 percent. Nestle’s shares have slipped 0.65 percent. Apart from these, there is weakness in the stocks of Reliance Industries, SBI, Bajaj Finserv, TCS and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
