Stock market will remain closed tomorrow

19 September 2023 i.e. tomorrow there will be no functioning in all the stock exchanges of the country and trading will remain closed on the occasion of the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Trading will remain closed in BSE i.e. Bombay Stock Exchange and NSE i.e. National Stock Exchange. Official information about this has been given on BSE website bseindia.com and in the official holiday list, the holiday is written from 19th September onwards.

Only one stock market holiday in September

Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 is the only holiday in September on which the stock market will be closed. Now the next holiday in the stock market will be on 2 October 2023, which is Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. The last time the stock market was closed was on 15th August last month on which the country’s Independence Day is celebrated. 

There will be holiday in equity, derivatives and commodity segments also tomorrow

Trading in the commodity derivatives segment will be held in the evening session

While the commodity derivatives segment will remain closed from 9 am to 5 pm, it will open for 5 evening sessions from 1 pm onwards. Therefore, there will be no trading in the commodity derivatives segment from 9 am to 5 pm but it will continue in the session from 5 am to 11.30 am.
