Emirates, the largest airline based in the United Arab Emirates, has announced plans to make arrangements for passengers to receive their air tickets by paying with Bitcoin.
Emirates Chief Executive Officer (COO) Adel Ahmed Al-Redha made the announcement at an international travel trade fair on May 12 in the Arab Travel Market. The process comes just weeks after the airline announced in an official statement.
According to Arab News, Al Redha wants to hire its staff to help develop customer monitoring applications. He also declined to say when the airline would launch its Bitcoin payment service.
Emirates is expected to announce the airline service via Bitcoin soon.
