India Oil Import: Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri addressed the India Energy Week conference on Monday.  During this, a big talk has been said about India’s oil import. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that India is the world’s third largest energy consumer and will buy oil from wherever it can get reliable and affordable prices.

Hardeep Singh Puri said during the India Energy Week conference that India will use its large market in the matter of oil purchase. He said, ‘To put it plainly, we will use the Market Card. Wherever oil is available to us at reliable and reasonable prices, we will import from there.’

Russia becomes India’s largest oil supplier

For information, let us tell you that India had bought oil from Russia at a cheaper price last year, bypassing the pressure of western countries. Now Russia has become India’s largest oil supplier country. After attacking Ukraine in February last year, Western countries had imposed various economic sanctions on Russia. These include a ban on the purchase of petroleum products from Russia. Due to this the prices of Russian oil decreased.
