Reliance Retail Launches Campa: Reliance Consumer Products launches Campa, the famous soft drinks brand of the 70s and 80s

Reliance Retail Launches Campa: Reliance Consumer Products Limited, the FMCG company of Reliance Retail Ventures, has launched soft drink brand Campa. . Currently, Reliance Retail has launched the first three flavors in its Campa portfolio, which include Campa Cola, Campa Lemon and Campa Orange. After the relaunch of Reliance Retail’s Campa brand, Pepsi and Coca-Cola are going to face the biggest challenge. 

In August 2022, Reliance Retail bought soft drink brand Campa to give wings to its FMCG business. Along with Campa, the company also bought the Sosyo brand from Pure Drinks Group. Reliance Retail has again launched it in the market only six months after acquiring the Campa brand. In the 70’s and 80’s, Campa was one of the biggest companies in the country’s beverage market. But it could not stand up to the challenge from Coca-Cola and Pepsi in the 90s. 

Reliance Consumer Products Limited on the relaunch of Campa brand said that the launch of the brand is in line with the company’s strategy to promote domestic Indian brands which not only have a very rich  heritage, but are also known for their unique taste and flavour. Due to this, it has a deep connection with the Indian consumer. 

Last year, on August 29, 2022, while addressing the AGM of Reliance Industries, Isha Ambani, director of Reliance Retail, had announced to enter the FMCG business and two days after her announcement It was only then that the matter of acquisition of the Campa brand came to the fore. Let us tell you that the value of the FMCG sector in the country is estimated to be around $ 110 billion.
