RBI UDGAM Portal: From unclaimed amount to FD money, it will be easy to know, this portal will help

UDGAM Portal: Crores of rupees are deposited in different banks of the country, for which there is no claimant. To trace these unclaimed deposits, the Reserve Bank of India has launched a centralized web portal named Udgam (UDGAM). Giving information about this portal, Governor Shaktikanta Das has issued a press release. Along with this, RBI has urged the customers to find out their unclaimed money lying in the banks through this platform and claim it. How to register yourself on the UDGAM portal-

1. For this first click on the official website of UDGAM portal https://udgam.rbi.org.in/unclaimed-deposits/#/register.
2 . Enter your name, mobile number here.
3. Then enter your password.
4. Register yourself on the website by entering the captcha.

How to find out the unclaimed amount on the UDGAM portal-

1. For this first click on https://udgam.rbi.org.in/unclaimed-deposits/#/login.
2. Enter mobile number, password and captcha here.
3. After this you will receive an OTP on your mobile, enter it.
4. Next page But you have to enter the name of the account holder. Along with this, you have to choose the name of any one bank from the given banks.
5. Then you will have to provide PAN, Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport number or Date of birth has to be entered.
6. Then click on the search option. If you have an outstanding amount in any bank’s savings or FD, you will know it immediately.

Which banks dues can be tracked-

Customers of State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Central Bank of India, Dhanlaxmi Bank Limited, South Indian Bank, DBS Bank Limited and Citibank can easily find out the unclaimed amount lying in banks through this portal. According to the news published in the Economic Times, this facility will be started for the rest of the banks from October 15, 2023.
