Who can open PM Jan Dhan account?

Any person living in India can open a PM Jan Dhan account, but this scheme has been launched especially for those people who are financially weak and have not yet been connected to the banking system. You can open this account without any balance i.e. zero balance. Along with this, you do not have to pay any penalty for not maintaining minimum balance in this account. There is no age limit for opening this account.

Overdraft facility is available

Under this scheme, the poor class has also got a chance to join the banking system. The government now transfers the money of any government scheme directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT. In such a situation, they get the benefit of any government scheme from this account. Along with this, with the help of this account, the beneficiaries are also getting the benefits of the insurance scheme. If you need money in an emergency, you can also avail overdraft facility from the account. You can open this account in any bank. For this you will need only Aadhar card, passport size photo and mobile number.
