Meta Employees Salary: Facebook’s parent company Meta gives less salary to women!  Men more: Report

Meta Employees: A big disclosure has been made in a report regarding Facebook’s parent company Meta. It has been said in the report that Meta pays less salary to women employees than to male employees. Not only this, META also gives lesser bonus to men as compared to women. 

This information is based on the company’s report on pay inequality in the UK and Ireland. Business Insider has told in its report that Meta Ireland’s Gender Pay Report was released in December 2022. There are almost 3,000 women working in the Meta office in Ireland and 5,000 in the UK office, which is 10 per cent of the total female workforce. 

How little salary given to women 

Female employees of Meta in Ireland have been paid 15.7 percent less salary than men in 2022. And here the difference in bonus was huge. The average bonus for women was 43.3 per cent less than for men. In the UK, the pay gap is smaller than in Ireland. 

How low the salary of women in Britain 

It has been told in the report that the average bonus of meta female workers in the UK is paid 2.1 percent less than that of male workers. Here the bonus given to women was on an average 34.8 percent less than that of men. However, during 2018 women workers were paid 0.9% less than men on average and bonus pay was 40% less then. 

How much do male employees earn 

According to the Business Insider report, the basic salary of Meta employees starts at around $ 150,000 or Rs 12,279,523 per year. On an annual basis, male employees from Meta in Ireland are earning more than $ 23,000. While male workers in the UK earn about $3,000 more than female workers.
