IIM- Indore: A student of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM-I) Indore’s MBA equivalent course has been offered a job in the country with an annual salary of Rs 1.14 crore by a company. . This is the highest annual salary package offered during the last placements of this session at IIM-I which is Rs 65 lakh more than last time.
Very high package compared to last placement
An IIM official told that during the final placement of IIM-I students during the last session, the highest salary offered for a job in the country was Rs 49 lakh. He informed that during the last placements of this session, more than 160 domestic and foreign companies made salary offers of Rs 30.21 lakh on an average basis to 568 students of IIM-I. These include students of the two-year Post Graduate Program (PGP) and the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). Both the courses are considered equivalent to MBA.

Director of IIM-I Prof. Himanshu Rai said, “We are always looking forward to strengthen our ties with the industry while providing world class management education to the students. The stupendous placements achieved by our students despite challenging times is a testimony to this.’’
Which sectors have the highest placement rate
According to the official information, during the final placement, the employer companies made maximum 29 percent job offers in the counseling sector to the students of IIM-I. They were given 19 per cent job offers in general management and operations, 18 per cent in finance, 18 per cent in sales and marketing and 16 per cent in information technology and analytics.
