Cheap Loan Scheme: For the families living in cities who dream of their own house, the central government is coming up with a new scheme and they will be able to get loans from the government at affordable rates. After the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15, the public was waiting that when the date and time of this scheme would be announced.
Hardeep Singh Puri announced the timing of the cheap loan scheme
Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that a scheme will be launched next month i.e. in September to provide relief in interest on home loans to people dreaming of buying their own houses in cities. Hardeep Singh Puri said today that the modalities of this scheme are currently being worked out.

On August 15, the Prime Minister had announced interest rebate for those building houses in cities
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech on 15th August i.e. Independence Day said that the Central Government is coming up with a new scheme for the families living in cities who dream of owning their own house. His government has decided to give relief of lakhs in home loan interest to those who live in cities or in rented houses, slums, chawls. A large population in cities still lives in slums, to provide them their own housing, the government has decided to provide relief in loan interest.
