LIC Policy: If you had earlier taken an insurance policy of LIC and closed it in the middle for some reason even before its maturity, then you can start it. Life Insurance Corporation of India has started a campaign to revive the old policy that has been closed. It will run from February 1 to March 24.
Under the campaign started by LIC, you can revive your LIC policy. In the tweet made by the Life Beam Corporation of India, it has been informed that during this campaign, exemption has also been given in the late fee for the premium. There is a rebate of 25 per cent for late fees up to Rs 1 lakh and up to 25 per cent for premiums up to Rs 3 lakh. And for premiums above Rs 3 lakh, the discount will be 30 per cent.
The policy can be revived for 5 years
LIC policy can be started up to five years from the date of unpaid premium. Whereas on eligible NACH and BILL Pay registered policies special offer late fee of Rs.5 may be levied. You can pay the premium online and by visiting the office of the government insurance company or through an agent.
Who will not get its benefit
It has also been informed by the government insurance company that high risk plans like term insurance, health insurance, policies with multiple risk will not get the benefit of this policy. On the other hand, such policies which have lapsed in the premium paying term and the term has not been completed till the revival date, will get the benefit.
