Indian Railway: Indian Railways is going through a phase of change. The country had dreamed of high-speed trains, in fulfilling which Vande Bharat seems to be completely successful. Soon the country will also be able to enjoy the journey of Bullet Train. However, problems like increasing population and competition for train tickets during festivals still persist. Taking these challenges seriously, Indian Railways has prepared a concrete plan so that everyone can get confirmed tickets. A 5 year plan has been prepared for this. During this period, these challenges will be addressed by adding 3000 new trains to the rail network.
800 crore passengers travel annually
According to Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw, currently Indian Railways is serving 800 crore railway passengers annually. We want to increase our capacity to 1000 crore passengers annually in 5 years. The population of the country is increasing and railways is the lifeline of India. Therefore, we have started preparations from now. For this we will have to run 3000 new trains, so that the pressure on old trains does not increase.
69 thousand new coaches ready
According to the information, at present 69 thousand new coaches are ready in the country. Every year Indian Railways is also making 5000 new coaches. With their help, Railways can start about 250 new trains every year. Vande Bharat trains are not included in these. According to the report, 400 to 450 Vande Bharat trains will start running in the coming years.
Speed of trains will increase and track will improve
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Railways is also working on improving the speed and tracks of trains. Tracks are being laid to take trains to new areas also. He said that it is very important to manage the travel time. If we can improve the Delhi-Kolkata route then the travel time can be reduced to around 2.20 hours. The technology of acceleration and braking in Vande Bharat trains is four times better than normal trains. Therefore we have been able to reduce the travel time. This new technology will be installed in other trains also.
