Direct Tax Collections: Good jump in direct tax collection, government collected Rs 16.68 lakh crore till March 10

Direct Tax Collection: The figures of Direct Tax Collection till March 10 of the financial year 2022-23 have been released by the Ministry of Finance. An increase is being seen in the figures of this tax collection. Gross Didect Tax Collection has increased by 22.58 percent to reach Rs 16.68 lakh crore. 

During this period, there has been an increase of 18.08 percent in Corporate Income Tax, while an increase of 27.57 percent has been seen in Personal Income Tax including Security Transaction Tax. . 

To adjust the refund, a growth of 13.62 percent has been seen in corporate income tax and 20.73 percent in personal income tax. If securities transaction tax is included in personal income tax, then the collection has increased by 20.06 percent.

How much refund issued 

Finance Ministry has informed that from April 1, 2022 to March 10, 2023, a total refund of Rs 2.95 lakh crore has been issued. This refund amount is 59.44 percent more during the same period last year. Explain that the government had set a target of Rs 14.20 lakh crore direct tax collection in the financial year 2022-23.
