Many types of other industries are also associated with these sectors. Due to which this sector has the potential to influence the path of development of the economy. The Competition Commission said that considering the importance of cement for many important sectors, it is very important to have a well-functioning and competitive cement market. There are immense possibilities of collusion in the cement sector, which makes it sensitive. Keeping this in mind, an attempt will be made to understand the functioning and competitive position of the cement market in all regions of the country, considering the structural features of the cement market. .
The study being conducted by the Competition Commission of India on the cement sector will have nothing to do with the hearing of any case pending before the Commission. The commission will study cement price, its trend, production cost, capacity, capacity utilization and profits. The Competition Commission of India will study the reasons for change in cement prices.
Actually, in the month of September, there was news of increase in prices by 12 to 13 percent from cement companies. The companies had blamed the increase in costs for this. The rainy season is over, so the demand for cement may increase. Due to which the possibility of further increase in prices is being expressed.
