India’s oldest airline Air India on Thursday gave a new look to its logo and aircraft during a function in New Delhi. The Tata Group airline has now ditched the red arched window and donned an eye-catching livery, with the tail fin painted in gold, red and purple. Also the red and gold underbelly will be emblazoned with its name in bold.

Senior Congress MP Shashi Tharoor wrote that we will get used to the new look of Air India, which has received mixed reviews. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said the new logo symbolizes the pinnacle of the historically used window, the Golden Window. It will create unlimited possibilities, progressiveness andconfidence.
