Bihar Legislative Council Elections 2023 Patna:Voting is to be held on Friday for five seats of graduate and teacher constituencies of Bihar Legislative Council. A total of 48 candidates are in the fray in this election. Polling will be held from 8 am to 4 pm. On April 5, the counting of votes for these seats will take place and the results will be declared. The fate of leaders like former Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh, former Legislative Councilor Mahachandra Prasad Singh, Legislative Councilor Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Sanjeev Shyam Singh, Virendra Narayan Yadav will be decided in the election of teachers and graduate constituencies.

8 candidates in fray from Gaya region

Among total 8 candidates are in the fray from Gaya graduate constituency while total 13 candidates are in fray from Gaya teachers constituency. Polling stations have been set up in the block headquarters of all the districts of the concerned constituency. Separate polling stations have been set up for teacher and graduate constituencies, where voters will exercise their franchise. Voting is to be done through ballot paper.

7 candidates in fray from Kosi region

A total of 7 candidates are in the fray from Kosi Teachers’ Constituency while a total of 9 candidates are in the fray for Saran Teachers’ Graduates’ Constituency. Apart from this, a total of 12 candidates are giving a tough fight to each other for the by-election of Saran teachers constituency. JDU is contesting on three seats and RJD on one seat on behalf of Grand Alliance. If the candidates are more of JDU, then people’s eyes are more on JDU. BJP is contesting on four seats. Virendra Yadav from JDU is in the fray from Saran graduate constituency while Mahachandra Singh from BJP is in the fray. The CPI has fielded Anand Pushkar as its candidate from the Saran teachers’ constituency.

Kedarnath’s son in the election field

On one hand Kedarnath Pandey’s son is also in the fray. Dr. Dharmendra Singh from BJP has been fielded against him. Apart from this, Punit Kumar Singh, son of RJD state president Jagadanand, has been fielded from Gaya graduate constituency. BJP has reposed its faith in Narayan Singh from Gaya. It is being said that Narayan Singh has been stuck in the field for a long time. JDU’s Sanjeev Kumar Singh is in the fray from Kosi teacher’s seat in Seemanchal. On the other hand, BJP has made Ranjan Kumar its candidate.
