The new generation Hyundai Verna was spotted a while back during testing in South Korea. The company will first launch this car in its domestic market i.e. in South Korea itself. After this it will be launched in other markets of the world including India. However, no launch date or timeline has been revealed about when this car will be launched in India.
These cars will collide
This car of Hyundai will compete with cars like Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus. The camouflaged version of this car was seen during testing.
Features of the current model
In the Verna, Hyundai’s connected car technology BlueLink has been given with 45 features. These include features like voice commands for in-car functions, remote engine and air-con operation. With the BlueLink system, you can access many functions of the car through your smartwatch.
The Verna facelift is the first mid-size sedan to come with a full digital instrument cluster. There is also a 4.2-inch multi-information display (MID) at the center of the instrument cluster. Hyundai has introduced wireless charging feature in the Verna facelift, which is a first in the segment. The wireless charging pad is placed in front of the gear lever in the car. The new Verna comes with a hands-free boot opening function. Hyundai calls it the ‘Smart Boot’. Due to this feature, when the car key reaches the boot (diggy), the boot lid will open automatically.
