Japanese car company Toyota is preparing to introduce India’s first CNG premium hatchback. According to reports, the company may soon launch the CNG variant of Toyota Glanza for sale in the Indian market. If this happens, the upcoming car will be the first premium hatchback segment in the country to get a factory-fitted CNG kit. Toyota Glanza competes with cars like Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz in the country. The Toyota Glanza CNG will be the CNG version of the company’s entry-level car.
Mileage will be 25 kmpl
The Toyota Glanza CNG car could also be launched with a 1.2-litre engine like the current model. However, in the CNG variant, there may be a decrease in the output power of the engine. At the same time, Toyota claims that the upcoming CNG model of Glanza will give a mileage of 25 kmpl. As seen in most CNG cars, the Glanza CNG will only get a manual transmission option.
Toyota Glanza CNG: Features
