According to the news of PTI, the vehicle company Toyota Kirloskar Motor has appointed Vikram Kirloskar's daughter Mansi Tata as the new Vice Chairperson with immediate effect. Also he Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts (TKAP) Will also become the Vice Chairperson.

Mansi is already a member of the Board of Directors of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited. Apart from this, she also plays an important role in making corporate decisions and strategy of Toyota Kirloskar.

Vikram died of heart attack

The credit for bringing Toyota to India goes to Vikram Kirloskar. Vikram Kirloskar died of cardiac arrest in November last year. The Board of Directors of the company has informed the stock market about the appointment of Mansi Tata.

Masakazu Yoshimura, MD and CEO of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, says that Mansi Tata has a good understanding of India's car market. Along with this, she has been an encouraging leader of the team, her arrival will strengthen Toyota Motors.

Mansi's father Vikram brought Toyota to India after a lot of struggle. After his death, Venu Srinivasan of TVS Motor Company wrote in a memoir, “I have known Vikram for the last 40 years. He didn't leave it to the engineers in his team to partner with Toyota. Rather spent months on the shop floor of Toyota's factory with their general manager."

He told that Vikram himself understood the working of every machine, noted every minute detail. He always believed that if any work has to be done, it should be done in the most correct way. Vikram was not even afraid to get his hands dirty on the shop floor. At the same time, he used to ask thousands of questions to know everything.

Srinivasan says that even if he has become a big industrialist or he has got immense wealth, but the engineer inside him always remained alive. His hard work paid off and he set up a completely new manufacturing system according to Toyota's needs.

Mansi also has this responsibility

Kirloskar Systems Pvt Ltd in December inducted Mansi Tata on the board of directors of its joint venture companies, including Toyota Industries Engines India Pvt Ltd, Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery Pvt Ltd, Toyota Material Handling India Pvt Ltd and Denso Kirloskar Industries Pvt Ltd .
