YS Viveka Murder Case: YS Viveka’s murder case continues to take turns. The Supreme Court heard the petition filed by Viveka’s daughter Sunitha Reddy seeking transfer of the case from AP. Notices have been issued to the state government and the CBI. The senior lawyer on behalf of Sunitha brought to the attention of the court that obstacles are being created to prevent the investigation of the murder case from proceeding. In the petition, it was explained that there is no progress in the investigation and they are obstructing the investigation by filing criminal cases and making private complaints against the officers of the investigating agency. Keeping this in mind, Sunitha Reddy appealed to order that the case be investigated in Telangana or any other High Court in the country including Delhi.

The counsel for Sivashankar Reddy brought to the notice of the court that there is no evidence of threatening the witnesses. There are about 140 witnesses.. How can they be called so far? The bench opined that the CBI should not have a say on this issue. The bench issued notices to the state government and the CBI to answer the issues raised in Sunitha's petition. The next hearing was adjourned to October 14.

Devi Reddy Sivashankar Reddy who is an accused in the same case approached the Supreme Court. After the High Court refused bail, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court. CBI and YS Sunitha were included as respondents. Abhishek Manu Singhvi will hear arguments on behalf of Sivashankar Reddy.
