The Jagan government has given a sweet talk to the AP Secretariat employees who are waiting for promotions. The Cabinet has taken a decision clearing the line for promotions. Employees can indulge in celebrations with the government’s decision.

Government has created 85 new posts in Amaravati Secretariat. It provided a chance to replace them with promotions. Actually the posts in the Secretariat are filled from ASO cadre through APPSC. After the bifurcation of the state, once again during the TDP regime, the retirement age of the government was increased by two years in the YCP government. With this, the retirement age has increased to 62. As the higher level officers did not retire, the lower level ASO and SO level employees had no chance of promotions. With the latest decision taken by the government, the line for promotions has been cleared.

Out of 85 posts, 55 section officers will be promoted as assistant secretaries. Another 30 SOs are eligible for promotion as Assistant, Deputy, Joint and Additional Secretaries. With the decision of the government, the employees cut the cake and celebrated. He thanked CM Jagan.
