Varalakshmi Vratam: For the first time after covid, Varalakshmi Vratam was conducted scientifically in Tiruchanur. Varalakshmi Vratam was celebrated on Friday in Asthana Mandapam of Padmavati Ammavari Temple. On the occasion of Varalakshmi Vratam, the Goddess was awakened early in the morning with a good morning and anointed the Sahasranamarchana, Nityarchana, Moolavars and Utsavars. On the occasion of Varalakshmi Vratam, Goddess Padmavati appeared to the devotees wearing a golden saree. Padmavati Goddess Utsavamurti was worshiped on the Padma Peetha in the Asthana Mandapam. On this occasion, the goddess is worshiped with traditional flowers like roses, chamomile, jasmine, sampangi, tulsi, panniru aaku, maruvamu, lotus flowers, and flowers. It is believed by the devotees that by performing this fast, they will get the result of worshiping Ashtalakshma

Srinivasacharyu, advisor of Pancharatra Agama, said that in Bhavishyottara Purana, Lord Vyasa explained the worship method and importance of Varalakshmi Vrata. It is known through the Puranas that earlier Lord Shankara told Parvati Devi that this Varalakshmi Vrat was special and the way to perform it. Charumathi, a devotee who lived in the city of Kundalini in the Treta Yuga, explained the results obtained by practicing Varalakshmi Nomu on this occasion. Srinivasacharyu said that it is known through the Puranas that women participating in the Varalakshmi Vratam in Tiruchanur, where Sri Mahalakshmi actually appeared with Preeti, will get many great results such as Satsthanam, long-term happiness, wealth, health and family happiness. 12 kinds of different offerings were offered to the goddess and immersed in the Varalakshmi vrata with Mangala Harati.

Impressive Vrata Mandapam

The Asthana mandapam of Ammavari was decorated with flower decoration by Laurus Lab of Hyderabad. The Vrata Mandapam set up by the TTD Horticulture Department at Adhyaryam particularly impressed the devotees. 15 staff members worked for three days with 2 tons of traditional flowers and 25 thousand cut flowers and decorated Ammavari Temple, Asthanamandapam and Vrata Mandapam beautifully. Fruits like betel leaves, apple, grape, sweet potato, pineapple and various traditional flowers have been beautifully designed for the Vrata Mandapam. Goddess Gajalakshmi in the upper part of the mandap and Iravatas on both sides in the lower part are a special attraction. The Asthana Mandapam is magnificently decorated with Ashtalakshmi Murthy and colorful flowers like roses and lotus flowers. Srinivasulu, deputy director of the park department said that it has been undertaken.


On the occasion of Varalakshmi vratam, at 6.00 pm, Amma took a golden chariot around the four Mada streets of the temple. The devotees were treated to a treat.
