TTD News: Good news for Srivari devotees.. Important decision giving a big boost to the common man.. Effective from December..

It is needless to say how much the devotees show interest in visiting Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy, Kongu Bangaram, which fulfills the wishes. Every year the number of devotees visiting Srivari is increasing. On average, 80 thousand people visit Tirumala Venkanna on normal days, while this number crosses one lakh on weekends. Meanwhile, VIPs also come in large numbers to visit Srivara. Along with them, the number of people visiting Swami through their letters of recommendation is also increasing day by day. As a result, ordinary devotees have to stand in queues for hours.

It is in this background that TTD has been making many changes in the matter of VIP break darshans. Initially there was break darshan in the morning and evening, but now break darshan is being provided only in the morning. Break darshan is provided from 5 am to 8 am. But keeping in mind the problems of common devotees who wait in queues all night, TTD has taken a recent decision. Henceforth VIPs will be given darshan after ordinary devotees. Changes will be made in the timings of break darshan from 5 am to 8 am.

Break darshans will be provided from 1st December from 8 am to 12 pm. As soon as Swami completes his daily activities, devotees in queues will be given darshan throughout the night. With this decision taken by TTD, the devotees will get the blessing of seeing Srivari soon. Officials believe that this will also reduce the pressure on room allotments. It will be started experimentally from December.
