Srivari Brahmotsavam: Tirumala Tirupati is the place where Kaliyuga deity was measured. This Kshetra is always crowded with devotees. Devotees flock to visit Swami on special days along with festivals. From common people to celebrities show interest in attending the Brahmonda Nayaka’s Brahmotsavam. After almost two years, TTD is organizing the Brahmotsavam in the presence of devotees. In this background, the hills of Tirumala are filled with devotees. Garudaseva will be held as part of the annual Brahmotsavam of Revu Srivari. With this, the Hindu Dharmartha Samiti brought umbrellas from Chennai to Tirumala on Friday as a procession to decorate the shrine.
TTD officials gave a warm welcome to the umbrellas who reached Tirumala under the leadership of Samiti Trustee Mr. R.R. Gopalji. In front of the temple these umbrellas were presented to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy. After a procession through four mada streets, they were taken into the temple. These umbrellas will be decorated in Garudaseva.
On this occasion, Shri R.R. Gopalji said that 11 umbrella procession started from Chennai on 25th of this month. He said that after special pooja at Chennakesava Perumal temple in Chennai, he reached Veeraraghava Perumal temple in Tiruvallur and performed special pooja. On Thursday night, Tiruchanur said that 2 umbrellas were offered to Goddess Sri Padmavati. He said that for the past 17 years we have been offering umbrellas to Tirumala to decorate Garuda Seva on Tirumala. Founder of Hindu Dharmartha Samiti Sri Vedantam participated in this program.
