TDP general secretary and former minister Lokesh gave clarity on the march. It was announced that the trip will start from January 27. He said that he will travel all over the state for 400 days and 4000 kilometers. The padayatra starting from Kuppam will be held till Ichhapuram. Lokesh said that the Yatra will be for 4 days in Mangalagiri as well. Even after his defeat in the 2019 general elections, he has been actively working in his constituency. On the other hand, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is busy with his son’s padayatra arrangements. A meeting was held with the youth leaders of the party and suggested to stand by Lokesh in the padayatra. Chandrababu Naidu initially wanted to take a bus trip. But Lokesh felt that padayatra would be better to reach the people.
Lokesh Padayatra is expected to be the longest in the history of Telugu politics. Currently that record is in Jagan's account. In the past, YSR, Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan went on padayatras and were elected as Chief Ministers in the next elections. But Roja made sensational comments on this matter. Minister Roja said that Lokesh, who could not win in Mangalagiri while his father was CM, is throwing challenges to Jagan. At the same time, Pawan Kalyan was also thrown at him. Roja said that he does not know when he will speak. He warned that in future, people will drive Pawan's party out of sight.
Talking about his padayatra, Lokesh said that Mangalagiri has already become his stronghold. However, he alleged that Jagan will make all efforts to defeat him.
