AP New Industrial Policy: Industrial parks under PPP system- AP announced new industrial policy

AP New Industrial Policy:  Opening a new revolution in industrial development of AP. Andhra Pradesh has announced a new industrial policy. The policy for the years 2023-27 was unveiled in the presence of industrialists. This is the first time that a new policy has been announced before the expiry of the old policy. In a meeting with industrialists in Visakhapatnam on Monday, Minister Gudivada Amar Nath, Minister of Industries and IT, unveiled the new industrial policy. Amar Nath said that the government has formulated a constructive industrial policy in accordance with the directives of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to contribute to the all-round development of the state. Industrialists are expressing joy that the new policy will create a revolution in industrial development. He said that the state government will implement the industrial policy from April 1 as the old policy will end on 31st of this month. Highlights of the new policy..

Policy has been formulated in accordance with plug and play policy. State-of-the-art infrastructure will be created based on resources. Minister Amarnath explained that this new policy is aimed at facilitating business and creating large-scale employment. He said that it is important to give encouragement to research and seedling industries. It is more important to give various concessions to investors of all types of industries including manufacturing and allied sectors and to provide special concessions to early bird industries. It is explained that there is no restriction of investment environment. Low cost, low risk business. Development of industrial parks under PPP system. Private MSME parks will be set up. International connectivity, eco system in manufacturing sector. Development of the best industrial park in the style of Dubai. He clarified that environmental protection and industrial decentralization are going to be done in all districts. He said that for the first time in the operational guidelines, land allocation, cancellation etc. are in this PPP system.  

However, Minister Gudivada Amarnath said that AP is taking steps as a global investment destination and number one industrial state. He said that usually governments take some time to introduce a new policy even after the expiry of the policy, but his government is going to implement the new policy before the old policy expires. He also said that the economic progress of the state will be further developed due to the new policy. However, BC, SC, ST and minority women are given high priority in this field. The state will see major investments in food processing, medical device manufacturing, green hydrogen and renewable energy sources. He also said that YSR AP1 has also released a new app to grant 96 permits required for setting up industries in just 21 days. Minister Amar Nath explained that the YSR AP1 center is going to be made available as the Visakhapatnam center and sub centers will be set up in the district industrial centers of the remaining districts of the state.
