AP Assembly: AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy once again came under fire on the Telugu Desam Party. During the question and answer session, State Water Resources Minister Ambati Rambabu answered the questions asked by Telugu Desam Party members Gorantla Butchaiah Chaudhary, Dr. Nimmala Ramanaidu, Nimmakayala Chinarajappa and Achchennaidu on the compensation for the lands of the displaced people who were inundated by the Polavaram project. When the TDP members asked whether it was true that Jivo had given Rs 10 lakh per acre as compensation for the lands of the displaced people who were flooded due to the Polavaram irrigation project, Minister Ambati Rambabu replied that it was not true. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy directly spoke on this issue as Telugu Desam Party members were not satisfied with this. On this occasion, he expressed anger at the behavior of Telugu Desam Party members. Jagan was furious that the TDP members were obstructing the smooth running of the meeting with the intention of not letting the facts and discussion go out. He said that Chandrababu Naidu is the one who destroyed the Polavaram project and he is also unfit as an MLA. In the case of Polavaram project, under R&R compensation, Rs. 6.86 lakhs, after coming to power Rs. CM Jagan made it clear that he said that he would give 10 lakhs.
He said that the rehabilitation work of Polavaram project is going on at a fast pace. 14,110 residents Rs. 19, 060 crores are being provided for rehabilitation and reiterated that their government is committed to its word. CM Jaganmohan Reddy said that first the spillway and approach works should be completed and then the copper dam should be built. CM Jagan lashed out at TDP members saying that Telugu Desam Party members are spreading lies for political purposes. CM Jagan showed the copy of the JVO to the TDP members that we have given a JVO on 30th June 2021 for what we said for the Polavaram project. He clarified that the compensation will be transferred to the Polavaram victims once the rehabilitation is completed. He alleged that funds of Rs.2,900 crores were due from the central government and Chandrababu was behind the blocking of those funds. They were angry that they should have stopped the center and now they are criticizing them. CM Jagan said that regarding the Polavaram works... the statistics during Chandrababu's tenure... regarding the compensation received by the displaced people... if you look at the statistics of your government, it will be clear who has the sincerity. Slides related to the project work were made and shown through power point presentation. Chandrababu Naidu said that Polavaram project will be delayed due to wrong decisions.
