YCP, the ruling party in AP, got another shock. Former MLA TV Rama Rao resigned from YCP. In 2009, he served as an MLA from Kovvur constituency of the joint West Godavari district, who previously won from the TDP. Later he joined YCP. However, TV Rama Rao expressed his concern that he does not have much priority in the party. He announced that he has resigned from YCP but did not reveal his political future. Due to the subsequent developments, he did not get a ticket from TDP in 2014. However, TV Rama Rao campaigned in support of KS Jawahar and played his part in the party’s victory. TDP did not give him a ticket in the 2019 elections as well. He resigned from the Telugu Desam Party and joined the ruling YCP. In 2019, in the presence of Jagan, Fan Samdu joined YCP. He campaigned in support of Taneti Vanitha (Home Minister) who contested from Kovvur in that election and played a vital role in her victory. But he said goodbye to YCP expressing his concern that there is no priority in the party.
Former MLA TV Rama Rao said to the media.. He thanked the YCP leaders and workers who supported him all these days. He said that he has properly performed the responsibilities assigned to him in terms of the party. He said that he worked in support of Taneti Vanita. But he expressed his grief that even though he had asked many times to give him a post and respect him, he was ignored. Even the party post was not given to him. It means that the party did not need him, or he was not a priority in the party and he made the decision. He said he would not do such a thing. He said that he was not needed by the party, so he thought not to give the posts. Former MLA TV Rama Rao lamented that he too has financial needs and his wife needs to undergo an operation, but his financial situation does not support it. He said that he has been accused of changing parties for the past few months, but he has taken the decision to leave YCP after much thought.
The media asked Rama Rao whether he is in touch with Janasena leaders and whether he is joining the party. He replied that he had not met any leader and if he had met someone, the photos would have come out. Former MLA TV Rama Rao explained that he resigned from the ruling party because he was unable to do at least small things for his supporters and those who believed in him.
