CM Jagan: Jagan government will implement YSR Kalyanamastu and Shadi Tofa scheme from October 1. With this, the government said that 98.44 percent of the promises made before the elections are going to be implemented. A notice has been issued in this regard. It is said that this scheme is applicable to BC, SC, ST, minority communities and families of construction workers. It is said that this scheme is being implemented to support the families of poor girls. Jagan’s government is going to provide more cash assistance under Kalyanamastu and Shadi Tofa than what was announced by the previous government. YSR will provide one lakh rupees under Kalyanamastu to SCs. For caste marriages of SCs Rs. 1.2 lakh will be given. For STs Rs. 1 lakh will help. 1.2 lakh will be given for inter-caste marriages of STs. For BC Rs. 50,000.. Rs. 75,000 will be given if they marry inter-caste. Minority Rs. 1 lakh will be provided. For marriages of disabled Rs. 1.5 lakhs is going to be helped. It said that Rs.40 thousand will not be given to the construction workers. The government has incorporated the rule that the age of a girl should be 18 years and that of a boy should be 21 years. It said that the complete details regarding the scheme will be available in the village and ward secretariats. It has been clarified that the management of the scheme will be through village and ward secretariats.
