Andhra Pradesh: Micro finance, loan apps are increasing day by day. Many are committing suicide due to this. Recently, such incidents are increasing in Andhra Pradesh. Many are committing suicide because they are unable to pay any other money or else they are threatening to pay the amount with high interest rates or they will upload nude videos. Incidents of giving thousands of loans and collecting lakhs have recently come to light. Recently, the representatives of Elon App have called ministers and many public representatives and asked that the relatives of the minister have taken a loan. As the incidents of loan app companies are increasing day by day, the state government has decided to take strict action against these companies. The state government has already issued orders to the authorities to act strictly on loan apps that are not authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It is reported that clear instructions have been issued to the authorities. CM Jaganmohan Reddy directly issued instructions to the officials to act strictly in this matter. Henceforth no one should commit suicide due to suspension of loan app in the state.
Financial assistance to family members who have committed suicide: Recently, due to harassment of loan apps, husband and wife committed suicide in East Godavari district, Rajamahendravaram. As a result, their children became orphans. CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy reacted to this incident. District Collector K. Madhavilatu ordered to provide financial assistance of Rs. 5,00,000 each to the four-year-old Tejaswi Nagasai and two-year-old Likhita Sri, the children of Kolli Durga Rao and Ramalakshmi who committed suicide. Unable to bear the harassment of online loan apps, Durga Rao and Rama Lakshmi, a husband and wife from Rajamahendravara, committed suicide by drinking pesticides. The administrators of the loan app threatened the couple that they have to pay the debt or they will release nude videos and face morphing. This couple from Rajamahendravaram Shantinagar committed suicide on 6th September. Durga Rao is a painter and Ramalakshmi makes a living by tailoring.
Durga Rao couple from Labbarti village, Rajavommangi mandal, Alluri Sitamaraju district migrated to Rajahmundry ten years ago for livelihood. They have two children. Due to financial difficulties, recently took a loan on an online loan app. Paid some. As the rest of the money was not paid on time, there were threats and harassment from the administrators of the apps. The offended couple committed suicide.
