Ambulance mafia is once again on the rise in Tirupati district. After the Ruya hospital incident, there was a big discussion on the private ambulance mafia across the state. The incident of a father carrying the dead body of his son on his shoulders caused a furor because the ambulance mafia could not pay as much as they asked for. After that, the government decided to take action and fix the prices for ambulance services. But, the ambulance mafia is on the rise again.
Recently, the Ambulance Mafia in Gudur of Tirupati district is getting too much. Ambulance mafia has again come to light after demanding thousands of rupees to transport the body of a youth who died in a road accident. The mafia stopped the ambulance drivers as they could not give as much as they asked and called a vehicle from outside. With that, the victims became worried. The victims said that if they ask for four thousand per fifteen kilometers to survive, they will get it from where. Allegations are coming that there are similar situations in every hospital in the state. Even though the prices are fixed by the government, the private ambulance drivers who are being syndicated are preying on the victims like vultures. The officials and the hospital authorities who should take action are leading to criticism.
