The struggle of capital farmers to continue Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh has reached 1000 days today. With this, they are ready to start Maha Padayatra-2 from today (Monday). From Amaravati to Arasavilli of Srikakulam district they gathered to undertake the padayatra. Maha Padayatra – 2 will be extended for more than 900 kilometers. Plans were made to take place for 60 days. The padayatra will be held for 9 days in Guntur district. The Yatra will go through 12 Parliament and 45 Assembly constituencies. A special pooja was performed at the TTD temple in Venkatapalem at 5 o’clock in the morning. The march formally started at 6:30 am. On the first day, the farmers will trek to Mangalagiri via Venkatapalem, Krishnayapalem, Penumaka, Errabalem. Tonight will stay in Mangalagiri. In the padayatra, the farmers will explain that if Amaravati is developed, Andhra Pradesh will make progress. Farmers, women and people from different communities from 29 villages of the capital will participate in this padayatra. The yatra, which will start from Venkatapalem on Monday, will cover a thousand kilometers and will end at Arasavalli in Srikakulam district on November 11.
Political parties expressed their support for farmers' march. The main leaders of the party will participate in the yatra. From BJP National Secretary Sathya Kumar, Former Minister Kamineni Srinivas, District President Patibandla Ramakrishna, Congress Tulsi Reddy, CPI National Secretary Narayana, Muppalla Nageswara Rao, Jana Sena Bonaboina Srinivas, Gade Venkateswara Rao, TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh, Tenali Shravan Kumar, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao. , Gadde Anuradha and other important leaders will be present.
As part of the first day of today's yatra, a special pooja will be performed at the Srivari temple built by TTD at Venkatapalem at 5 am. At 6.03 am they drive the Srivari Ratha outside the temple and start the padayatra. Later the chariot is taken into Venkatapalem village. At 9 o'clock the flag will be hoisted and the yatra will be formally started.
